Aerolíneas Argentinas is expecting to transport nearly 210,000 passengers over the Easter long weekend, the airline announced on Wednesday. This figure includes domestic, regional, and international flights scheduled between April 17 and 21.
According to the released data, more than 160,000 travelers will fly on domestic routes, while approximately 28,000 will take regional flights. The remainder will travel on long-haul international routes, including destinations in Europe, the United States, and the Caribbean.
Among the most popular domestic destinations are Iguazú, Bariloche, Mendoza, El Calafate, Córdoba, Salta, Ushuaia, Neuquén, and Tucumán. On the regional international front, Rio de Janeiro tops the list. Together, these destinations account for nearly 50% of the total passengers transported by the airline during the holiday period.
The average occupancy rate for scheduled flights during the long weekend stands at around 80%, and the airline notes that Thursday, April 17, is expected to be the busiest travel day, with over 38,000 passengers flying in just one day.
The company highlighted that it continues to see steady growth in high-season traffic, in line with patterns observed during other peak periods on Argentina’s tourism calendar.
