GOL Linhas Aéreas has announced the incorporation of a new international route connecting Córdoba with Recife, starting April 12, 2025. The flight will operate with a weekly round-trip frequency, adding to the connections the airline already maintains between Argentina and Brazil.
According to GOL, the new connection aims to boost tourism, business, and cargo transport between Pernambuco and the province of Córdoba, considered a key gateway to Argentina.
The flight will depart from Recife on Saturdays at 18:15, arriving in Córdoba at 00:05 the next day. In the reverse direction, it will depart from Córdoba on Sundays at 00:55, arriving in Recife at 06:10.
GOL’s Expansion in Brazil and Argentina
The new route will be the second international service operated by GOL from Recife/Guararapes – Gilberto Freyre International Airport, which currently offers direct flights to Buenos Aires-Aeroparque (AEP).
Meanwhile, Córdoba already has direct GOL flights to Rio de Janeiro (GIG) and Florianópolis (FLN), two high-demand destinations. Additionally, starting April 2, the airline will add three weekly frequencies to São Paulo-Guarulhos (GRU), catering to the corporate travel segment.
With the new operation to Recife, GOL will establish a key corridor for tourism between Córdoba and Brazil’s Northeast region, as emphasized by the company.
“This route strengthens Córdoba’s position as a strategic air hub in Argentina and consolidates our ties with Brazil, one of our priority markets. Air connectivity is essential for boosting inbound tourism and strengthening commercial relations,” said Darío Capitani, President of the Córdoba Tourism Agency.
He also added:
“We are working alongside airlines, operators, and industry organizations to expand connectivity opportunities and enhance our province’s tourism offerings.”
Before the pandemic, Azul Linhas Aéreas had previously operated Córdoba – Recife flights with strong occupancy results.
