GOL Linhas Aéreas Brasileiras has set a new provisional launch date for its route between Bogotá, Colombia, and Caracas, Venezuela, now scheduled to begin operations on June 23, 2025, according to booking system data obtained by Brazilian aviation outlet AEROIN.
The route, which is an extension of the planned Brasília–Bogotá service originally slated for March 31, 2025, underwent a review and postponement. GOL told AEROIN that “due to required adjustments in the air network to operate at Caracas airport, ticket sales to this destination have been temporarily suspended. This change does not affect the company’s plans to serve the route, and new schedules and dates will be announced in due course.”
Under the current provisional plan, the new route will operate twice weekly—on Mondays and Fridays—using Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft.
The scheduled flights are as follows:
- Flight G3-8242 will depart Bogotá at 1:25 p.m. and arrive in Caracas at 4:30 p.m.;
- Return flight G3-8243 will leave Caracas at 7:00 p.m. and land in Bogotá at 8:50 p.m.
For GOL, this expansion marks an important step in its international growth strategy. Traditionally focused on Brazil’s domestic market, the airline has gradually worked to expand its international footprint—particularly across South America, but also into Central America and the United States.
However, it is important to note that the June 23 date remains provisional. GOL is expected to continue monitoring market conditions and may make further adjustments if necessary.
