The 737 MAX recovers its longest route: GOL Linhas Aéreas announced that it will soon resume two of its most important international destinations, Orlando and Miami, which will have the particularity of being part of the longest non-stop routes in the world operated with Boeing 737 MAX aircraft.

Flights between Brasilia and Orlando will resume on May 13. At 6,080 kilometers (3,777 mn), this route takes the title of the longest in the world to be flown with the latest generation of the 737. Its flight time is 8 hours 20 minutes.

On May 17, it will be the turn of the route between Brasilia and Miami, which, at 5,790 kilometers (3,599 minutes), is the fifth longest in the world.

In the last decade, GOL has bet heavily on the development of Brasilia’s Juscelino Kubitschek airport as an international hub, taking advantage of its privileged geographical position to facilitate connections both from cities in Brazil and the rest of its South American network.

Traditionally, as pointed out by our partner media in that country, Aeroin, airlines flew to the United States from Sao Paulo or Rio de Janeiro, located in southeastern Brazil.
