GOL Linhas Aéreas has informed its shareholders and the market of the resignation of Eduardo Guardiano Leme Gotilla, who stepped down from his roles as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Investor Relations Officer (IRO) at the Brazilian airline.
The resignation became effective on April 1, 2025. According to GOL, the company’s Board of Directors has already acknowledged the decision.
Following Gotilla’s departure, the Board of Directors has appointed Celso Guimarães Ferrer Junior, the airline’s current Chief Executive Officer (CEO), to temporarily take over the responsibilities vacated by Gotilla. Ferrer Junior will serve in both roles as of the resignation date, until a new executive is selected and appointed to these key financial positions.
According to reporting from Aeroin, Eduardo Gotilla had assumed the roles of CFO and IRO on June 3, 2024, roughly ten months ago. He was appointed after the resignation of his predecessor, Mario Tsuwei Liao. This marks the second change in GOL’s financial leadership in under a year.
In its official statement, GOL expressed its “deepest gratitude to Mr. Eduardo Guardiano Leme Gotilla for his dedicated service throughout his tenure.” The airline also noted that Gotilla will begin a transition period to ensure a proper handover of responsibilities.
