Iberia opens the Iberia Space in Buenos Aires: a window to the Spanish airline's service
Iberia has opened the Argentine edition of its "Espacio Iberia" in the heart of Buenos Aires. This experience center, located at Florida 202, opened its doors on March 27 and will remain active throughout several weeks in April, offering the local public a showcase of the services offered by the Spanish airline.
Occupying nearly 1,000 square meters in one of the busiest commercial streets in the Argentine capital, Espacio Iberia Buenos Aires becomes the third international location of this concept, following the successful editions in Bogotá in 2023 and Mexico City in the first quarter of 2024.

During an opening cocktail event held on the afternoon of Wednesday, March 26, Aviacionline had the opportunity to visit the space ahead of its public opening.

A Window into the Iberia Experience
Inside the space, visitors will be able to enjoy a variety of activities designed to simulate the experience of traveling with Iberia. They will be able to test the comfort of the seats on the modern Airbus A350 (the aircraft used on the Buenos Aires route), feel the thrill of piloting an aircraft in a flight simulator, and even try on the airline's historic uniforms.

Gastronomy will play a central role, with tastings of the menus served onboard, wine tastings, and other Spanish products, complemented by nods to Argentine cuisine and showcooking sessions. Additionally, a schedule of events in collaboration with the airline’s partners is expected.
During the inaugural event, which was attended by national, diplomatic, and company authorities, Iberia’s President Marco Sansavini highlighted the strong ties between Spain and Argentina. He reminded attendees that Buenos Aires was the airline's first connection, made with the DC-4 and taking three days to link the capitals. “Today, our passengers travel 12 hours on the most modern aircraft in the market,” he compared.
“After three editions of Espacio Iberia in Madrid, one in Bogotá, and one in Mexico City, we wanted to bring our experience center to Argentina, a market that is not only a priority for the company but to which we owe a lot, as it was with this route that we began our history with Latin America almost 80 years ago. This is why, thanks to this space, we want to return the trust that Argentinians have given us over so many years,” said Gemma Juncá, Iberia’s Brand and Marketing Director.
Argentina’s Secretary of Tourism, Daniel Scioli, also emphasized the emotional and commercial bridges between the two countries. He also celebrated the increase in the frequency of flights by the Spanish company – which now operates up to three daily flights – and announced the completion of the interline agreement between Iberia and Aerolíneas Argentinas, signed on the morning of March 27 at the Espacio, behind closed doors.

A musical show blending Tango and Flamenco delighted attendees, ahead of a dinner that also paid tribute to the shared culinary traditions of both countries.
“Argentina has been one of Iberia’s key markets in 2024 thanks to the significant capacity increase we’ve made,” said María Jesús López Solás, Iberia’s Commercial, Customer, and Network Development and Alliances Director. “Now, we’re landing in the heart of the city with our Espacio Iberia, and we hope that more Argentinians, whether they are already customers or not, visit us and experience the best of our service.”
