Iberia dates its new routes to the United States and the resumption of its service to San Francisco (SFO) for the northern summer, all of these services are seasonal by season. The Spanish carrier will offer an increased schedule for 2019.
Washington Dulles (IAD)
From June 1 to October 29 the airline has scheduled four weekly frequencies (Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday) and will be operated by Airbus A330 family aircraft.

During 2019 the route between Madrid (MAD) and Washington Dulles (IAD) mobilized 45,790 passengers and 30.7 tons of cargo in 340 air operations.
Dallas / Fort Worth (DFW)
For the first time the Spanish company lands in Texas, from June 1 through October 29 it will offer flights to Dallas with four weekly flights (Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday) and will be operated in Airbus A330-200 aircraft with a capacity of 288 seats in two classes.
The flight schedule will allow for greater connectivity across Iberia’s 100 flights in Europe. In addition, Dallas is the largest hub for American Airlines, which ensures great connectivity within the United States.

In 2019, Dallas (DFW) was the third main destination from Madrid (MAD) to the United States, the route moved 243,154 passengers and 5,654.7 tons of cargo in 1,074 air operations.
San Francisco (SFO)
This summer Iberia will once again offer seasonal service to San Francisco, which was suspended for two years due to the pandemic crisis. From June 1 through September 30, the company has scheduled three flights per week (Monday, Wednesday and Friday) operated by Airbus A330-200 aircraft with a capacity of 288 passengers in two classes.

In 2019 the route between Madrid (MAD) and San Francisco (SFO) mobilized 36,701 passengers and 341.3 tons of cargo in 155 air operations.
Strong presence in the United States
The United States is Spain’s main long-haul market, mobilizing 3,195,015 passengers in 2019. Iberia and LEVEL will add several extra frequencies in various destinations for the summer season.
From Madrid (MAD)
Iberia will offer 14 weekly frequencies from New York (JFK) and Miami (MIA) the main markets in Spain and the United States; Chicago O’ Hare (ORD) will have 7 weekly flights; Boston (BOS) will have daily flights between July and August; Los Angeles (LAX) will have 5 weekly frequencies, and San Juan, Puerto Rico (SJO) with 5 weekly flights, a destination that is part of the Joint Venture with British Airways, American Airlines, and Finnair.
Iberia has scheduled up to 120 weekly flights between Spain and the United States.
From Barcelona (BCN)
LEVEL will operate daily flights from New York (JFK); San Francisco (SFO), Boston (BOS), and Los Angeles (LAX) will have four weekly flights.
Europe – United States joint venture
Iberia is part of the transatlantic Joint Venture between American Airlines, British Airways, Finnair, and Aer Lingus. This benefits customers who combine their flights between all the airlines in the alliance, offering better prices and greater connectivity.
Iberia’s partners will offer new routes for the summer season:
- Aer Lingus: has launched two destinations from Manchester to New York (JFK) and Orlando (MCO), these are operated by Aer Lingus UK.
- American Airlines: restarts its service between Charlotte (CLT) and Rome (FCO) with daily flights, from April 5 to October 29.
- British Airways: from June 3 starts a destination to Portland (PDX) from London Heathrow and reinstates its operations to Pittsburgh (PIT).
- Finnair: has launched a new route from Helsinki (HEL) to Dallas (DFW), from June 1 to October 29, plus another service between the Finnish capital and Seattle (SEA).
