Iberia Space Lands in Buenos Aires: A Unique Experience for Travelers
Iberia brings its signature space to Buenos Aires, offering a unique chance to experience its A350 seats, flight simulators, and Spanish gastronomy. Located on Florida Street, the Iberia Space will be open from late March to April, strengthening the airline’s ties with one of its most strategic destinations.
The Iberia Space will open in the heart of Buenos Aires in late March, remaining active for several weeks into April. Located at 202 Florida Street, this 1,000 m² venue will showcase the Iberia experience through activities and events designed to engage the Argentine public.
Visitors will have the opportunity to experience the A350 seats, take control of an aircraft using the flight simulator, and try on historical uniforms of the airline. Additionally, there will be a variety of tastings featuring Spanish gastronomy with nods to local flavors, complemented by a comprehensive agenda of events and collaborations with Iberia’s partners.
This announcement was made at FITUR, the international tourism fair in Madrid, during a meeting between Iberia’s Commercial, Customer, Network Development, and Alliances Director, María Jesús López Solás, and Argentina’s Secretary of Tourism, Environment, and Sports, Daniel Scioli.
Argentina as a strategic destination
Argentina continues to play a pivotal role for Iberia, offering 21 weekly flights between Buenos Aires and Madrid. This equates to over 2,000 passengers daily, setting a record for the route. Over the course of 2024, Iberia provided more than 615,000 seats on this route, with most flights operated by the Airbus A350, known for its 35% reduction in fuel consumption compared to older models.
Bringing the Iberia experience closer
Buenos Aires becomes the third international city to host the Iberia Space, following Bogotá in 2023 and Mexico City in early 2022.
"Argentina has been one of the key markets for Iberia in 2024, thanks to the significant capacity increase connecting Buenos Aires with Madrid. As part of our commitment to the country, the airline will now ‘land’ our Iberia Space in the heart of the city. We hope more Argentinians, whether they are already customers or not, will visit us and experience the best of what we offer," stated López Solás.
Activities for all
Visitors to the Iberia Space will enjoy free tastings of the airline’s onboard cuisine and engage in activities such as showcooking, wine tastings, and sampling other Spanish products. They can also explore the historical uniforms and experience the thrill of piloting a plane through a flight simulator, all without leaving the city.
This initiative underscores Iberia’s deepening ties with Argentina, reflecting its status as one of the airline’s most significant markets within its network of 143 destinations across 48 countries.
