Israeli Firm Sentrycs Secures Major Counter-Drone Contract in Latin America
Sentrycs Expands Its Presence in Latin America with the Largest C-UAS Deployment for National Defense.
Sentrycs, a leading Israeli provider of advanced counter-unmanned aircraft systems (C-UAS), has been awarded a multi-million-dollar contract in an undisclosed Latin American country for a national defense project. This deal marks a major milestone, making it the largest anti-drone system deployment in the region and showcasing Sentrycs' technological capabilities in addressing the growing threats posed by drones in high-risk environments.
Strengthening National Security with Advanced C-UAS Systems
The first phase of the contract involves deploying multiple advanced C-UAS systems to enhance airspace security in critical areas, including:
- Military bases
- Special operations forces
- VIP convoys
- National borders
A key focus of this project is combatting drug trafficking and organized crime, where drones have increasingly been used for smuggling and surveillance operations.
"Recent developments in Latin America, including rising security challenges and the unauthorized use of drones for criminal activities, highlight the urgent need for advanced airspace security," said Jason Moore, Chief Revenue Officer at Sentrycs.
"This contract is a testament to Sentrycs’ ability to provide unmatched solutions to the most pressing drone security challenges. We are proud to play a key role in strengthening national defense in the region and look forward to supporting this air defense strategy with our innovative technologies."
Why Sentrycs Was Selected
Sentrycs was awarded the contract after rigorous operational testing, outperforming more than a dozen competitors. Key factors in its selection included:
- Stealth technology: The system operates undetectably, making it ideal for sensitive defense applications.
- Proven track record: A local partner’s support and strong client recommendations were crucial in securing the deal.
- Versatile deployment: The system includes fixed, portable, and vehicle-mounted solutions, enabling multi-layered defense strategies with maximum operational flexibility.
Sentrycs' vehicle-mounted kits provide discreet, low-profile protection, making them ideal for mobile operations, including VIP convoy security and special forces missions. These advanced solutions combine cutting-edge cybersecurity over radio frequency (Cyber over RF) with additional jamming capabilities as needed.

Possible Chilean Connection
While Sentrycs has not disclosed its client, a July 30, 2024, announcement on its website revealed that its adaptive protocol analysis C-UAS technology had been chosen to protect a port in Latin America from drug trafficking. The press release's cover image featured the port of Valparaíso, Chile, suggesting that the recently awarded contract may have been issued by Chile’s Ministry of Defense.
With this landmark agreement, Sentrycs solidifies its position as a key player in Latin America’s defense landscape, providing cutting-edge counter-drone technology to combat emerging security threats in the region.
