Japan Airlines Announces Summer 2025: More Flights, New Destinations, and MLB Partnership
Japan Airlines presented its summer 2025 schedule, which includes the return of the Tokyo Narita-Chicago O’Hare route, new destinations in the U.S. and Asia, and the expanded deployment of the Airbus A350-1000. Tickets for key routes will be available starting February 12, 2025.
Japan Airlines has unveiled its summer 2025 schedule, which features new routes, increased frequencies on existing services, and the deployment of the Airbus A350-1000 to additional destinations.
In the United States, the airline will resume the Tokyo Narita-Chicago O’Hare route, complementing the service from Haneda. This connection aims to address the strong travel demand between the U.S. and Japan while offering seamless connections to Southeast Asia and India.
Flight schedule between Tokyo Narita (NRT) and Chicago O’Hare (ORD):
Starting May 31, 2025:
• Flight JL 56: NRT 18:15 - ORD 16:00
• Flight JL 55: ORD 12:30 - NRT 15:15+1
Tickets will go on sale starting February 12, 2025.
Meanwhile, Japan Transocean Air (JTA) has announced its first international service on the Naha-Taipei Taoyuan route, with further details to follow. Additionally, the Tokyo Narita-Bangalore and Tokyo Narita-San Diego routes will operate daily flights from March 30, 2025, to October 25, 2025.
Services between Osaka Kansai-Los Angeles, Osaka Kansai-Honolulu, and Nagoya-Honolulu will also operate daily from July 18, 2025, to October 25, 2025. Furthermore, the Tokyo Narita-Honolulu route will have two daily flights during July 2025.
This year, Japan Airlines deployed the Airbus A350-1000 on the Tokyo Haneda-Paris and Tokyo Haneda-Los Angeles routes. The airline also signed an international partnership agreement with Major League Baseball (MLB), offering more travel options between Japan and the United States for baseball fans.
