JetBlue Begins Selling Tickets for Flights to Honduras
JetBlue expands its Central American connectivity with the launch of a nonstop service between New York-JFK and San Pedro Sula. This route will focus on VFR travelers (visiting friends and relatives) and promoting tourism in Honduras.
JetBlue is expanding its Central American connectivity with the launch of a nonstop service between New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) and San Pedro Sula (SAP), Honduras. According to the National Airport Service (SAN), JetBlue will become the fifth U.S. airline and the seventh overall to operate flights between Honduras and the United States.

- JFK 19:29 – SAP 22:20 (daily flights)
- SAP 23:26 – JFK 05:59 (daily flights)
- Aircraft: Airbus A320 with 156 seats
This new route aims to serve VFR travelers (visiting friends and relatives) and boost tourism in Honduras.
Incentives for JetBlue’s Operation in Honduras
To support JetBlue’s entry into the Honduran market, the airline will receive a $150,000 marketing incentive for the first six months of operation. Additionally, for two years, JetBlue will be exempt from various airport service fees, including jet bridge usage, runway lighting, and nighttime operations.
"We are extremely pleased with JetBlue’s confirmation, as it expands air travel options to Honduras from a key destination and will contribute to the local economy while strengthening connections with the Honduran community in New York," said Ricardo Martínez, Executive Secretary of SAN.
