JetBlue has extended its partnership with Discover the World, adding Spain to its commercial representation network. This move supports the airline’s transatlantic expansion and aligns with the launch of its new Madrid-Boston route, set to begin operations on May 23, 2025.
With this addition, Discover the World now represents JetBlue in 11 European countries, including the UK, France, the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Ireland, Germany, Denmark, Portugal, and Switzerland.
New Commercial Leadership in Spain
As part of its expansion strategy, Alicia Menéndez has been appointed JetBlue’s Sales Director for Spain. According to the airline, she will focus on collaborating with travel agencies and industry partners to promote JetBlue’s Madrid-Boston flights and other transatlantic connections.
Menéndez brings over 20 years of experience in sales and business development across aviation, tourism, and technology sectors. Her appointment is aimed at strengthening JetBlue’s commercial presence in Spain.
"I’m thrilled to welcome Alicia to our European sales team. She brings extensive expertise and deep knowledge of the Spanish market. I am confident she will be an outstanding addition to our ‘small but mighty’ sales team," said Maja Gedosev, JetBlue’s Managing Director for Europe.

JetBlue’s Transatlantic Expansion
JetBlue continues to grow its long-haul network, solidifying its position in Europe. The airline currently serves London, Paris, and Amsterdam and is steadily expanding its transatlantic footprint in a competitive market dominated by legacy and low-cost carriers.
This summer, JetBlue will also launch new routes to Dublin and Edinburgh, further reinforcing its presence in the region.

New Boston-Madrid Route Details
The new Boston (BOS) – Madrid (MAD) route will operate daily from May 22 to October 24, 2025, offering 1,932 seats per week.
Flight Schedule:
- Flight B6 2261: BOS 22:29 – 11:30 (+1) MAD / Daily
- Flight B6 2260: MAD 13:30 – 15:32 BOS / Daily
JetBlue will operate these flights with its A321neo (LR) aircraft, featuring a 138-seat configuration:
- 24 Mint Suites (Business Class)
- 24 Even More Space (Premium Economy)
- 90 Economy Class seats
JetBlue’s partnership with Discover the World and the launch of its new Boston-Madrid service mark a strategic push into the Spanish market, reinforcing the airline’s transatlantic service model.
