JetSMART introduced the A320neo, the first of its kind in its Argentine fleet, marking a significant milestone in its sustainability and growth strategy. With the addition of 222 flights starting in February 2025, the airline boosts domestic and international connectivity across key regions
On January 21, JetSMART debuted the A320neo in domestic operations in Argentina.
The 12th aircraft based in Argentina, the CC-AWN, landed in Buenos Aires on January 14. Following the precedent set by the three Airbus A320ceo added under the Interchange modality, this A320neo is expected to be operated by an entirely Argentine crew. Known for its operational efficiency and advanced technology, the A320neo features low fuel consumption, reduced emissions, and decreased noise levels, aligning with the airline’s sustainability goals.
Estuardo Ortiz, CEO of JetSMART Airlines, stated: "We are very proud to add our 12th aircraft in Argentina and to welcome the first Airbus A320neo to our local fleet. This is another important step in our growth plan in Argentina and the region as we work toward achieving our goals by the end of the decade."
Ortiz emphasized that the new aircraft will increase the airline’s capacity, adding 222 additional flights starting February 2025, and highlighted specific regional expansions:
