JetSMART resumed flights to Comodoro Rivadavia
The ultra-low-cost airline had already operated to this city between 2021 and 2023.
On January 8, at 12:30 PM, the inaugural flight of JetSMART landed at General Mosconi Airport in Comodoro Rivadavia. The ultra-low-cost airline suspended operations in this city in September 2023 as part of a widespread network adjustment that also included ceasing flights to Posadas and Corrientes.
However, last year JetSMART moved forward with its growth plans for the Argentine domestic market for 2025, aiming to reach a fleet of 12 aircraft by January and start adding 222 additional flights beginning in February.
JetSMART will operate five weekly flights between Buenos Aires' Jorge Newbery Airport (Aeroparque) and Comodoro Rivadavia on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays.
On this route, it will compete with Aerolíneas Argentinas, which offers 29 weekly flights from Aeroparque and one from Ezeiza, and Flybondi, with 7 weekly flights.
JetSMART's network in Argentina includes connections to San Martín de los Andes, Salta, Puerto Iguazú, Tucumán, Córdoba, Mendoza, Neuquén, Bariloche, El Calafate, and Ushuaia. It also connects Buenos Aires with Asunción, Florianópolis, Lima, and Santiago de Chile, in addition to flights between Santiago and Mendoza.
