KLM Restructuring: 250 Administrative Jobs at Risk
As part of a strategy to improve profitability, KLM is cutting non-operational positions and reassessing future investments.
Dutch airline KLM announced on Wednesday that it will eliminate 250 administrative positions as part of a strategy to reduce costs and improve profitability.
According to Reuters, the decision is part of a plan introduced in October aimed at boosting the profitability of Air France-KLM’s Dutch subsidiary by €450 million ($469 million) in the short term.
"Reducing structural costs is essential for our future. One of the measures we are taking is the reduction of non-operational jobs," said CEO Marjan Rintel in a statement.
