Korean Air Returns to Barcelona with Two Special Flights for Cruise Passengers
Korean Air returns to Barcelona with two special flights in May for CruiseKings passengers.
Korean Air will return to Barcelona with two special flights to transport passengers boarding a CruiseKings cruise. These flights will depart from Seoul on May 24, with the return journey scheduled for May 29.
It's worth noting that Korean Air suspended its services to Catalonia following its merger with Asiana, leaving the route to be operated by Asiana, T’Way, and Air Premia. Currently, Asiana operates five weekly flights to Barcelona, T’Way offers four flights per week, and Air Premia suspended its service in 2024.
The two charter flights will be operated with Boeing 777-300ER aircraft. Flights KE 9915 and KE 993 will arrive at Barcelona El Prat Airport (BCN) at 5:30 AM and 6:30 AM (local time) on May 24. The return flights, KE 9916 and KE 9913, will depart from Barcelona on May 29.
Korean Air’s special operation in Barcelona will support the Amway Korea Cruise, which departs from the city's port on May 24. The cruise will navigate the Mediterranean Sea, making stops in La Goulette, Tunisia; Rome and Naples, Italy; and Malta.
The absence of regular Korean Air flights to Barcelona will be temporary. Once the operational unification process is complete, the Asiana brand will be phased out.
