LATAM Airlines Brasil has just expanded its codeshare agreement with South African carrier Airlink.
The extended commercial partnership now includes four additional destinations available on latam.com for connecting flights via Johannesburg (South Africa). These destinations are: Harare (Zimbabwe), Maputo (Mozambique), Windhoek (Namibia), and Dar es Salaam (Tanzania).
Since 2023, LATAM has been the only Brazilian airline operating flights from Brazil to the African continent. The São Paulo–Johannesburg route offers four weekly flights, each lasting nine hours aboard Boeing 787-9 aircraft. This model accommodates 300 passengers: 30 in Premium Business, 57 in Premium Economy, and 213 in Economy.
Airlink, for its part, operates daily flights on the Johannesburg–Dar es Salaam and Johannesburg–Maputo routes. It also flies six times per week to Windhoek and five times per week to Harare. All routes are served by Embraer 190 aircraft, which seat 98 passengers, according to LATAM’s media partner Aeroin.
With the expansion of LATAM Airlines Brasil’s codeshare agreement with Airlink, customers can purchase a single ticket and check luggage directly with LATAM for travel from Brazil to up to eight final destinations across Africa.
