LATAM Brazil Sets Record for Miles-Redemption Tickets in 2024
The LATAM Pass loyalty program hit a historic milestone in 2024, recording a 20% increase in ticket redemptions using miles.
LATAM Brazil reached a new milestone in 2024, issuing over 6.9 million tickets through its LATAM Pass loyalty program—a record-breaking figure.
According to LATAM Pass data, this represents a 20% increase compared to the previous record set in 2023, highlighting a growing trend among Brazilian travelers using accumulated points to plan their trips.
Strong Growth in International and Domestic Redemptions
The international travel segment saw the highest growth last year, with 1.3 million tickets redeemed, a 48% increase from 2023. Meanwhile, in the domestic market, 5.5 million tickets were issued, marking a 14% year-over-year rise.
In November 2024, LATAM expanded its network by adding two new destinations in Brazil, bringing its total to 54 cities. This expansion broadened redemption options for travelers looking to use their miles.
“Passengers are increasingly opting for direct redemptions with airlines, avoiding intermediaries. This record reflects a growing awareness among customers about loyalty programs as a viable and competitive alternative for using points,” said Martin Holdschmidt, General Manager of LATAM Pass, in statements published by LATAM’s media partner AEROIN in Brazil.
