As of October 27, 2024, LATAM Cargo will triple its operations at Brussels Airport, increasing from four to twelve weekly flights. The Belgian airport will become the main European transport hub for the Latin American cargo airline. The carrier’s Boeing 767F fleet will operate the services as the aircraft will move flowers from Ecuador to Europe, returning to Latin America with pharmaceutical products.

From March 2023, Latin America’s largest cargo operator returned to Belgium’s main airport. Inbound flights will focus on moving perishable products. Aircraft will then return to Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay and Chile moving pharmaceutical products and other time-critical cargo and parts for the automotive industry.

LATAM Cargo has established Brussels Airport as a pharmaceutical hub that serves as a link between local pharmaceutical production facilities and hospitals around the world. For several years, Belgium’s main airport has been dedicated to the transport of time- and temperature-critical goods with the largest surface area of temperature-controlled warehouses in Europe and by transferring refrigerated containers to ensure that the cold chain of the products is not interrupted.

All LATAM flights are operated on Boeing 767F aircraft that have a cargo capacity of around 60 tons. The airline has plans to use sustainable aviation fuel (SAF). This objective aligns with the environmental goals of Brussels Airport.
