Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas Airport will introduce two new controlled motorcycle parking areas on March 11, adding a total of 205 spaces across Terminals T2 and T4.
According to Aena, the initiative aims to enhance safety and organization in access routes and transit areas while increasing parking availability for motorcycle users.
Parking Locations and Capacity
- T123 Terminals: Around 100 spaces will be available on the ground floor of Module C in Parking P2.
- T4 Terminal: A total of 114 spaces will be located in a designated and enclosed area near the VIP parking entrance road.
Additionally, some areas previously used for motorcycle parking will be reconfigured. However, the airport will maintain a free motorcycle parking area in Terminal 1’s arrivals zone, which is connected to the other terminals via a shuttle service.
Signage and Communication for Users
To inform travelers and airport personnel about the new access points and parking alternatives, signage and communication campaigns have been implemented.
Expansion of Motorcycle Parking Initiatives
Madrid-Barajas follows the example of Josep Tarradellas Barcelona-El Prat Airport, which introduced a controlled motorcycle parking system in February 2024 to improve organization and safety in designated parking zones.
