British company Menzies Aviation has announced a $305 million deal to acquire U.S.-based G2 Secure Staff, a specialist in airport services. According to Menzies, the acquisition will expand its global footprint to 340 airports across 65 countries, supported by a workforce of 65,000 employees.
The transaction, still subject to regulatory approval, is expected to close in June 2025. Based on fiscal year 2024 results, Menzies anticipates the deal will boost its annual revenue by 20%, pushing it beyond $3.1 billion.
The British firm, owned by Agility Global, aims to reinforce its position as the world's largest provider of airport services, measured by the number of countries, airports, and aircraft handled. G2 will operate under the Menzies brand, with its staff integrated into Menzies' training programs, safety protocols, and technology platforms.
John Redmond, Executive Vice President for the Americas at Menzies, described the acquisition as “a key milestone in our long-term value creation strategy.” He added, “This transaction will strengthen our presence in the United States, the largest and most dynamic aviation market in the world, where we have been operating for 25 years.”
Menzies Aviation entered the U.S. market in 2000, offering ground handling, air cargo, and fuel services. Founded in 2005, G2 operates at over 100 U.S. airports, providing services such as passenger assistance, cabin cleaning, and ground and air cargo handling, including operations at major airline hubs.
Julie Gostic, CEO of G2, stated, “We are proud to join Menzies Aviation, the global leader in airport services. Our customers will continue receiving premium service, while our employees will benefit from Menzies’ international standards in safety, sustainability, and operations.”
The integration of G2, the company notes, will enable Menzies to offer a broader range of services to both existing and prospective clients, solidifying its role as a dominant player in a highly fragmented airport services market.
