At 15:19 on Wednesday, February 12, the inaugural Paranair flight from Asunción landed at Martín Miguel de Güemes International Airport in Salta. The flight was operated with a CRJ-200, registered ZP-CRR.
This marks Paranair’s return to Salta after six years and the airline’s expansion into its fourth destination in Argentina, following Buenos Aires, Córdoba, and Jujuy.
Flight Schedule: Asunción – Salta
Paranair will operate two weekly flights between Asunción (ASU) and Salta (SLA) on Wednesdays and Saturdays with the following schedule:
- ASU 13:45 – SLA 15:15 / Wednesday
- SLA 16:00 – ASU 17:30 / Wednesday
- ASU 11:55 – SLA 13:25 / Saturday
- SLA 14:10 – ASU 15:40 / Saturday
The Salta route offers connections to Buenos Aires, Ciudad del Este, and Montevideo via Paranair’s hub in Asunción, expanding international travel options for local passengers. According to the Paranair website, one-way fares start at USD 136.
"This new air connection marks a milestone for tourism and trade between the two cities, bringing tourists and business travelers closer together from Argentina and Paraguay. Alongside Paranair, we are working on joint promotional strategies in both Salta and Asunción to boost this new air route," said Manuela Arancibia, Minister of Tourism and Sports of Salta.

In addition to Buenos Aires (10 weekly flights), Córdoba (4 weekly flights), Jujuy (2 weekly flights), and Salta (2 weekly flights), Paranair’s network from Asunción includes:
- Ciudad del Este (Paraguay): 6 weekly flights
- Montevideo (Uruguay): 14 weekly flights
- Salto (Uruguay): 2 weekly flights
- Santa Cruz de la Sierra (Bolivia): 7 weekly flights
