Poland to Supply Half of All Starlink Terminals Operating in Ukraine
Poland’s contribution is significant: so far, the terminals provided by Poland account for half of all Starlink units used in the country currently at war with Russia.
Poland's Minister of Digitalization, Krzysztof Gawkowski, announced that his government will supply half of all Starlink terminals operating in Ukraine. By the end of 2024, Poland will have provided Ukraine with 24,400 Starlink terminals, manufactured by Elon Musk's SpaceX.
Gawkowski stated that a new batch was ordered in November and is gradually arriving in Ukraine. However, he clarified that Poland is not donating these terminals but lending them, even though, in practice, they are unlikely to be returned.
Critical Communications for Ukraine’s Military
According to a report by MilitarNYI, Starlink terminals provide crucial communications for the Ukrainian military on the front lines.
However, not all terminals are active at all times, as their activation and deactivation depend on Ukraine’s discretion.

"For many months, Poland has been supplying internet access to Ukrainian society and its military. Thanks to Starlink, we are carrying out tasks that help us maintain the front," Gawkowski stated.
In 2024, Poland’s expenditure on maintaining and purchasing new terminals amounted to 120.66 million PLN (over 1.2 billion UAH). The maintenance cost projected for 2025 is 186.8 million PLN (nearly 2 billion UAH).
