Qantas and ADG strengthen ties with new Darwin-Singapore route
Qantas and the Airport Development Group (ADG) have signed a five-year collaboration agreement to enhance connectivity in the Northern Territory. The deal includes a new direct route between Darwin and Singapore starting March 30, 2025, and the resumption of flights to Canberra by mid-2025. Airport Development Group (ADG) has signed a long-term agreement with Qantas, solidifying a five-year strategic collaboration that includes Darwin International Airport and Alice Springs Airport.
This partnership strengthens the pivotal role of the Qantas Group in connecting the Northern Territory to domestic and international destinations. Currently, Qantas operates flights to 9 destinations from Darwin and 5 from Alice Springs.

Rob Porter, Executive General Manager – Airports, expressed pride in this expanded partnership, stating: "We are proud to deepen our collaboration with Qantas through these long-term agreements. This partnership reflects our shared commitment to enhancing connectivity in the Northern Territory and fostering the growth of aviation services."
Flights between Darwin and Singapore (QF281 and QF282) will be operated by Qantaslink using Airbus A220-300 aircraft, with an estimated flight time of 4 hours and 50 minutes.
Through this collaboration, both organizations aim to position the Northern Territory as a strategic hub for aviation, tourism, regional growth, and economic development.
