Royal Jordanian has raised its ownership in Jordan Flight Catering Company to 51%, aligning with its strategy to strengthen its regional position and boost revenue by investing in airline support services.
Jordan Flight Catering Company is a joint venture between Royal Jordanian, dnata, and Eastern Aviation Investments. Currently, dnata, a global provider of aviation and travel services, holds a 25% stake in the company.
As part of the agreement, Royal Jordanian and Jordan Flight Catering Company have extended their service contract for another 10 years. The company’s chefs will produce more than four million meals annually for the airline’s 17,000 flights, enhancing the onboard experience.
The contract extension allows dnata to continue overseeing Jordan Flight Catering Company’s operations, ensuring stability and high service standards for its 34 airline clients. The company will operate under a co-branded identity between dnata and Royal Jordanian. Beyond Jordan, dnata also provides catering services for Royal Jordanian in the UK and the US.

He also highlighted that Jordan Flight Catering Company will remain under dnata’s management through a long-term agreement, enabling Royal Jordanian to optimize resources, improve flexibility, and maintain competitive catering prices.
Meanwhile, Dana Kamal Adwan, CEO of dnata Catering & Retail in Jordan, reaffirmed dnata’s commitment to its partnership with Royal Jordanian, stating that a combination of global expertise and local talent will ensure high-quality dining experiences on every flight departing from Amman.
