More than 2.6 million passengers passed through Santiago Airport in January 2025, marking a 5.9% increase compared to the same month in 2024, according to the annual traffic report compiled with data from shareholders Groupe ADP and VINCI Airports.
This growth follows the record-breaking year of 2024, when the airport handled 26,254,957 passengers, the highest annual total in its history and a 12% rise from 2023. Additionally, this figure surpasses pre-pandemic levels, exceeding 2019’s nearly 25 million passengers by 6%.
December 2024 Sets New Records
The report also highlights historic numbers for December 2024, with 2,394,714 passengers, representing a 10% increase compared to December 2023.
In terms of aircraft movements, Santiago Airport recorded 163,967 takeoffs and landings in 2024, an 11.7% increase from the previous year and 4.3% above 2019 levels.

Strong Passenger Numbers Expected for Summer Season
For the summer season, the airport projects over five million passengers will travel through its terminals during January and February 2025, reflecting a 4.4% increase compared to the same period in 2024. This growth further solidifies the upward trend in air traffic, reinforcing Santiago Airport’s position as a key regional hub.
