Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) has announced a new seasonal route between Stockholm-Arlanda Airport (ARN) and Keflavík International Airport (KEF), Iceland. The service will operate during the summer 2025 season, running from June 22 to August 11, using Airbus A320neo aircraft.
According to SAS, this new connection will complement existing routes from Copenhagen and Oslo, providing more travel options to Iceland, a destination that has seen increasing demand in recent years.
Optimized Night Schedule for Maximum Daylight in Iceland
The Stockholm – Keflavík service will operate overnight, allowing travelers to maximize their time in Iceland and take full advantage of the continuous daylight during summer.
"We are pleased that our passengers can make the most of Iceland’s extended daylight hours to explore everything the country has to offer, whether for business or leisure," said Henrik Winell, SAS Vice President of Network Planning.
SAS also highlighted that the flight schedule is designed for seamless connections to Sweden, the Baltic countries, and Finland, making Iceland more accessible to a broader range of travelers.
Flight Schedule:
- Thursdays & Sundays: Departure from Stockholm at 23:00, arriving in Keflavík at 00:10 the next day.
- Mondays & Fridays: Departure from Keflavík at 01:00, arriving in Stockholm at 06:15.
Competition with Icelandair
SAS will compete on this route with Icelandair, which operates daily flights using Boeing 737 MAX 8 and MAX 9 aircraft.
