SATENA Reopens Medellín-Caucasia Route with Three Weekly Flights
SATENA announced the reopening of the Medellín-Caucasia-Medellín route, set to resume operations on January 27, 2025, with three weekly flights. Tickets are now available, with special discounts for eligible passengers, as the airline reinforces its commitment to regional connectivity
SATENA announced the reopening of the Medellín-Caucasia-Medellín route, set to recommence operations on January 27, 2025. The connection, which had been temporarily suspended since July 2024 due to maintenance and improvement work at Juan H. White Airport, will now operate with three weekly flights on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. The route will be serviced by a Beechcraft B1900 aircraft with a capacity of 19 passengers.
Flight schedules:
Mondays and Fridays:
- Medellín - Caucasia: 10:20 a.m.
- Caucasia - Medellín: 11:40 a.m
Wednesdays:
- Medellín - Caucasia: 11:20 a.m.
- Caucasia - Medellín: 12:45 p.m.
Tickets are available starting at $222,200 (USD 51.71) through SATENA’s official website and $247,550 (USD 57.61) at physical points of sale. Passengers are eligible for special discounts, including benefits for members of the Armed Forces, Sisbén A, B, and C users, young cardholders, and preferential rates for children and senior citizens.
Major General Óscar Zuluaga, President of SATENA, emphasized the significance of this route for the region, stating: “The reopening of this connection reflects our commitment to maintaining connectivity in areas that rely on aviation as the primary means to access services and opportunities. Caucasia is a strategic destination for SATENA, and we are proud to resume this key operation.”
SATENA also began connecting Medellín with other destinations starting in September 2024, such as Paipa and Yopal.
