Scoot expands long-haul network with Vienna flights starting in June 2025
Scoot expands its long-haul network with the launch of non-stop flights to Vienna, its longest route to date, while suspending service to Berlin. Starting June 2025, the airline will connect Singapore and Austria three times a week using Boeing 787-8 Dreamliners
Scoot has announced changes to its operations in Europe, introducing non-stop flights to Vienna while suspending service to Berlin starting March 28, 2025. However, the low-cost airline will continue flying to Athens, Greece.
According to Cirium, the last non-stop connection between Austria and Singapore took place in March 2007, operated by Austrian Airlines on a route that continued to Melbourne.
The new route will begin operations on June 3, 2025, with three weekly flights scheduled for Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. Flight TR 708 will depart Singapore at 03:00, arriving in Vienna at 10:10. On the return leg, flight TR 709 will leave the Austrian capital at 11:25, landing in Singapore at 04:50 the following day. All times are local.
The service will be operated using Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner aircraft, and promotional fares will start at 300 dollars one way. At over 9,700 kilometers, this route will become Scoot’s longest flight, further expanding the carrier’s long-haul operations.
This new addition aligns with the broader strategy of the SIA Group, which maintains an extensive presence in Europe through its flagship carrier, Singapore Airlines. Currently, Singapore Airlines operates flights to 16 destinations across Europe, including Amsterdam, Barcelona, Brussels, Paris-Charles de Gaulle, Copenhagen, Rome-Fiumicino, Frankfurt, Istanbul, London-Gatwick, London-Heathrow, Manchester, Munich, Milan-Malpensa, and Zurich.
