SWISS Enhances Long-Haul Travel Experience with ‘SWISS Senses’ Concept
The Swiss airline expands its investment in onboard service with a new concept featuring reusable tableware, exclusive products, and a fragrance designed for the flight experience.
Starting March 5, passengers traveling in Economy and Premium Economy on long-haul flights with Swiss International Air Lines (SWISS) will enjoy an upgraded experience. Under the ‘SWISS Senses’ concept, the airline is introducing enhancements in onboard service, including new culinary innovations, comfort upgrades, and a refreshed cabin design.
The ‘SWISS Senses’ program expands the food and beverage offering, featuring redesigned menus and a wider selection of options. As part of the experience, Economy and Premium Economy passengers will receive a welcome snack, which includes Sbrinz cheese, paying homage to the Swiss 'apéro' tradition. Additionally, main courses have been updated, and the second meal before landing will now be served either on a tray or in a reusable bento-style box.

On select flights, additional snacks will be offered between meals, and passengers will have access to an expanded variety of refreshments. The beverage selection has also been enriched with the introduction of a Swiss red wine and local soft drinks like Rivella. All Economy meals will be served on reusable black tableware.
"These enhancements represent one of the largest service investments in SWISS history and reaffirm our commitment to delivering a high-quality travel experience, defined by Swiss identity and attention to detail," said Heike Birlenbach, SWISS Chief Commercial Officer.
As part of the ‘SWISS Senses’ concept, passengers will also enjoy the exclusive Alpine Valley fragrance, developed in partnership with Swiss brand Soeder. This signature scent, blending larch, citrus, and alpine herbs, will be available in the lavatories as soap, hand lotion, and facial spray.
Comfort Enhancements and Sustainable Amenities
Onboard comfort has also been enhanced with new pillows and blankets made from recycled materials, complementing the futuristic design of the SWISS Senses cabin. Additionally, headphones have been upgraded to deliver a more immersive audio experience for in-flight entertainment.

Complete Cabin Overhaul
Beyond service and product improvements, the program also includes a full-scale renovation of seats and cabin design across the entire SWISS intercontinental fleet.
