SWISS Unveils Special Livery for Airbus A350-900 Celebrating Swiss Culture
SWISS's first Airbus A350 will feature a special livery with elements of Swiss culture.
SWISS will introduce a special livery on its Airbus A350-900, registered HB-IFA, to commemorate Swiss landmarks and cultural traditions. The aircraft will be named “Wanderlust”, a word that embodies the passion for traveling the world.
The “SWISS Wanderlust” design was created by Swiss artist Frédéric Siegel. Both the fuselage and engine nacelles are decorated with illustrations that showcase Swiss culture, blending traditional and modern elements.

“This special livery is our declaration of love for Switzerland. It reaffirms how deeply connected we feel to our home country and invites everyone to discover and explore its uniqueness in a playful and creative way. We are proud to present Switzerland in all its diversity to the world in such a special way,” said Heike Birlenbach, SWISS Chief Commercial Officer.
Interactive “SWISS Treasure Hunt” and Business Class Giveaway
As part of the promotion, the airline has launched the “SWISS Treasure Hunt”, an interactive experience where customers can uncover hidden details, solve puzzles, and enter a contest to win a round-trip Business Class flight for two aboard the new A350.
A New Era of Efficiency and Sustainability for SWISS
SWISS has ordered ten Airbus A350 aircraft, which will replace its aging A340 fleet, marking the beginning of a new era of efficiency and sustainability for the airline. The first “SWISS Wanderlust” aircraft is expected to enter service by late summer, featuring illustrations of Freddie, Helvetia, and the marmot.
The SWISS Airbus A350-900 will accommodate 242 passengers across four classes:
- 4 seats in First Class
- 45 seats in Business Class
- 38 seats in Premium Economy
- 156 seats in Economy
