TUI Fly is continuing to adjust its long-haul operations, suspending all services from Brussels, according to reports from the Dutch aviation news outlet Luchtvaartnieuws.nl. This decision means that Belgium will no longer have direct flights to the Caribbean, and the Boeing 787 based at Brussels Airport will be relocated to the Netherlands.
Caribbean Flights to End in Winter 2025/2026
For the winter 2025/2026 season, the leisure airline will cancel all flights between Brussels and the Caribbean. The affected routes include:
- Punta Cana, Dominican Republic (last flight on October 30, 2025)
- Cancún, Mexico (last flight on October 31, 2025)
- Curaçao, Dutch Caribbean (last flight on November 1, 2025)
Arjan Kers, Managing Director of TUI Belgium, told Luchtvaartnieuws.nl:
"In Brussels, we will focus exclusively on medium-haul flights, while long-haul flights will be concentrated within other TUI airlines, thanks to increased cross-border sales. We will continue to offer Belgian customers a range of long-haul destinations through partnerships with other airlines or via nearby airports like Schiphol."
Fleet Changes and Relocation of Dreamliners
TUI Fly Netherlands will take over all Dreamliners currently based in Brussels. One aircraft has already been transferred to the Dutch registry. As a result, TUI Fly Belgium’s fleet will now only consist of Boeing 737s and Embraer E195-E2s.
