Ultra Air, the ultra-low-cost airline that is looking forward to taking off in Colombia, completed the third phase of certification before the aeronautical authority and is therefore getting closer to the start of its operations.
The third phase consisted of a detailed review by the Civil Aeronautics Operations and Airworthiness team of inspectors of 26 manuals and documents required by Colombian regulations, outlining the processes and procedures established by the airline to guarantee safety, efficiency, and quality of its airport, maintenance, and flight operations.
Ultra Air’s Vice President of Operations, Juan Fernando Arango, affirmed that the closing of the third phase left a positive balance for the Company. «It allowed us to adjust our processes and procedures so as to be aligned with the requirements established in the RAC, which is important to mention, include the new requirements established in RAC 121, as Ultra is the first Colombian airline to be certified under this regulation.»
Upon satisfactory completion of the documentation evaluation, Ultra Air begins the fourth phase of inspection and demonstration that will bring it closer to the final green light to operate domestic and international flights to destinations such as Mexico, the United States, and Peru.
