Dassault Falcon Jet inaugurates a new maintenance, repair, and overhaul center in Brazil. These new facilities by the French manufacturer are located at the Executive International Airport of Catarina (JHF), just over 70 kilometers from the city of São Paulo.
The new customer service center, Dassault Falcon Jet Sao Paulo-Catarina, replaces the existing one in Sorocaba, which opened in 2009. The new facilities offer a total of 3,600 square meters of space capable of accommodating up to five aircraft.
Jean Kayanakis, Senior Vice President of Worldwide Customer Service, stated: «For our company, post-sale assistance is a vital part of the ownership experience. This means keeping Dassault as close as possible to its customers and providing them with all the necessary services to maximize Falcon fleet uptime and value.»
Aircraft MRO
The Catarina center has the capacity to service the largest aircraft from the French manufacturer, the Falcon 10X. This is the latest addition to Dassault’s executive jet family, currently under development, with one of the widest fuselages on the market.
The facilities are equipped to perform maintenance and overhaul operations up to level «B» for Falcon aircraft registered in Brazil from the Falcon 7X/8X and Falcon 2000 families. It is also equipped to conduct pre-purchase evaluations (PPE) for customers considering acquiring a second-hand Falcon.
The Catarina maintenance center is certified as a Repair Station by the Brazilian National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC), the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), and the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA).
Additionally, it is authorized by regulators in Argentina, Bermuda, and Uruguay to perform line maintenance and major inspections on Falcon models from the 50, 900, and 2000 series, the Falcon 7X, and the Falcon 8X.
Additional Services of the New Center
The new Dassault center in São Paulo can carry out line maintenance on CFE-738, Honeywell TFE731, and Pratt & Whitney Canada PW307A, PW307D, and PW308C engines.
It also has the capability to perform specialized non-destructive testing (NDT) procedures, such as liquid penetrant and eddy current inspections. A full-service battery shop capable of repairing, replacing, or recharging main and emergency batteries for Falcon and other aircraft models.
Similar to Sorocaba, Catarina will have a dedicated “support team” ready to provide rapid mobile response anywhere in South America, along with the necessary parts and tools to minimize Falcon downtime.
Increased Global Assistance
Over the past five years, Dassault has doubled its global support capacity and significantly modernized its MRO services.
The French manufacturer has over 60 service points and 15 parts distribution centers worldwide, along with the necessary GoTeams to provide round-the-clock assistance to customer aircraft 365 days a year.
Recently, the company inaugurated new MRO centers at the Dubai World Central Airport in the Middle East and in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Both operate under the ExecuJet MRO brand, another wholly-owned subsidiary of Dassault Aviation.
