Amid Rising Tensions, Venezuela Suspends Flights to Perú

In a surprising yet expected escalation of tensions between Venezuela and the foreign nations that stated that they won’t recognize the controversial results of the election that secured Nicolas Maduro’s continuity in power, all passenger flights to and from Perú have been suspended.

In NOTAM A0589/24, the Federal Aviation Administration confirms that starting on August 1, all commercial aviation passenger traffic between the two nations is effectively suspended.
