Volaris announced the launch of a hiring campaign for more than 2,000 new employees to support its expansion plans both in the Mexican domestic market and in the rest of Latin America.
During the second quarter, the company registered a 14% growth in capacity (ASM) compared to the same period of 2019, and expects to incorporate 25 new aircraft during the next 18 months.
“For us, the growth of our Volaris Family is great news, thanks to the demand and growth we are experiencing. Our hiring campaign will impact not only the company, but will also support the creation of 8,400 indirect jobs, also activating the job recovery and Mexico’s economic reactivation,» said Juliana Angarita, director of Talent and Organizational Development at Volaris.
“The airline has led the recovery in demand in Mexico and continues to take advantage of the rebound in demand for air travel. The expansion of capacity has been strategic and the results translated into a higher amount of revenue in seats per mile and lower costs, as well as a better position compared to competitors ”, said the low-cost in a statement.
